@ttomasso: Thanks! My diluted Irish eyes are smiling.
So adorable! Never seen them blink. Love the pattern of the feathers close to the beak. Nice shot!

@aggie: Thanks! And thanks for the visit. The blink seemed worthy, as eyelids are seldom seen on birds. Belated welcome to Am3; you seem quite a talented addition.
THIS ONE TIMING IS REALLY WONDERFUL!FABULOUS SHOT!

@Shahab: Thanks! Still waiting for the next in your current series.
Hey Matt! These are truly remarkable images (as in yesterday's as well). It's not easy to spot these little buggers when they sit for a rest.
I don't think you know this but I too posted an image of a hummingbird sitting still. http://cutebutstupid.aminus3.com/image/2007-04-21.html
And, she says in her long winded over verbose way, I honestly didn't know how you were discerning the Pine Grosbeak. You see we get not only the Pine, but also the Evening and the Rose Breasted. I have never seen a juvenile Pine I guess because they just winter here. Humble apologies... you'll know when I yank your chain.. you'll hear me giggle all the way to Portland!! ;-)
