Lovely again. I like the birds and the twigs against the blue sky. The fledgling's plumage looks quite mottled. I imagine that serves as camouflage?

The streaked breast of the locals remains into adulthood, though it is uniquely mottled for each of the fledglings in this small flock. They also seem at this age to each have a very unique bearing. It tickles me that they are like young people who can't figure out where to put their hands when holding still. Lacking hands, the sparrows tend to fluff and twist. Stay tuned.
This is a really nice picture..as Helen said with the twigs and the blue skies. You take such great pictures of these little(and not so little) fellows. I've never been able to take pictures of all the birds that come to feed in our backyard. Of course it doesnt help that I have a point and shoot.

A wise and accomplished photographer advised me that it is not the equipment that matters, it is the light, and one's ability to see it differently than others.
