Very intersting picture! You have a tree covers all with moss, on with the climbing plant and the oher is dead! Tree stages...

The contrast of trunks in the shot were what attracted me to it, but the complexity of the scene left me befuddled when searching for a title.

I won't bore you with lesson on non-native plants of the Pacific Northwest, but that's the contrast I see in the image. English Ivy is non-native and has a significant negative impact on the local flora and fauna.
