Wonderful. Only 3:30pm! It looks so dark already. I love the flying bird. It is that little radical element that adds interest to an already terrific capture.
yup. initially I thought 'nice moon' detail but after scrolling down it became so much more. I know some people like the idea of resizing to avoid scrolling but in this instance I actually enjoyed the suprise. Its a cracking shot, somehow slightly eerie, the kind of scene I'd expect outside some crumbly old mansion with keep out signs stuck everywhere.
@ Duncan- I thought the shot was long when I framed it, but this was the only angle available. I like to post untouched images here, as the comments have then helped me improve my skills when actually behind the lens. (Anything can look good with enough Photoshop.) That said, thanks as always for the thoughtful comment, and find a tighter redux here: http://www.mtrujillo.com/daylightmoon.html
Now this is excellent. As Helen mentioned the bird in flight adds that element of suprise as you scroll down from the top-half of the picture. This is so well composed, I like how the trees form a sort of natural frame. Again; excellent.
Wow, really great shot! Amasing that you caught the birds like that under a beautiful moon. To me it really tells a story about the birds - it is a really inspiring photo in my eyes. Romantic somehow...
