cracking image. digital? Id love to see the data if so. the almost monotone lighting throughout is lovely, very strange to see an area as large as this bathed in only one colour. Great find.
@ Duncan- EOS 300D; f/22; ISO100; 50 seconds; Canon 18mm; cable release. This was mounted about two feet off the sidewalk on a Manfrotto tripod/ ballmount combo, (which was entertaining for the drunks leaving the brew-fest tent in the lower-right).
The lighting is provided mostly by the little white lights covering all the trees in this downtown shopping area, plus arc-sodium street lights. I didn't adjust the camera's white balance to compensate for the odd light temperature, which produced the color. The buildings are light-colored, and provided great refletivity.
One more thing to love about about digital: The instant test-shot. Cheers.
@ Damon- In my haste to answer questions, I almost ruined geography trivia for everyone. There's plenty of info on the sign without having to resort to triangulation of the distances.
This is located in the "living room" of a major US city.
